When I started this book, I thought it was going to be a romantic mushy type book. I really wasn't ready for that type, since those types are really not my cup of tea. I had a lot of blogger friends recommend this one to me and a few friends on Goodreads, so I thought, why not give it a go. Really glad I chose to listen to my friends.

I literally did not want to put this one down. From start to finish it played out like a movie inside my head. I could picture the characters and, I guess since I'm from Michigan and this is where this book is based, I could picture out the scenery too.

I absolutely loved the characters, even the slimy-everyone-hates type of characters. The lead character was Cassidy, someone who met her untimely end one fateful night. Even though fate dealt her a crappy hand, she was still pretty amazing, even when she was a bit stubborn. I also really like the stoner, Caleb, and Cassidy's boyfriend, Ethan. He was one of those stick-by-your-side-even-though-I'm-pissed-at-you type if guys. I even did some crying at the end, but shhh, don't tell anybody.

I highly recommend this one. And for her first novel, Bethany Neal hit this one out of the ballpark and straight home. If you like paranormal and mystery, this one is right up your alley.
