Book Selfie! Take a pic with your current read.
So this one was a tough one for me because I despise having my picture taken. Haha. My current read, if you can't see it in the picture is Chime by Franny Billingsley.

Next week:
If you could only have ONE – one book – for the rest of your life. Don’t cheat…what would it be?

Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.
Well, to be honest, I have been blogging since October of 2011 and I am always learning something new. Recently I have learned to have a bit more fun with reviews, mine used to be so robotic like until I started reading some other reviews on Goodreads and other book blogs, and I was all like "Hey, I can write like that", and so I started to have more fun with my reviews, opening up more, instead of giving summaries of the books, I just started to run with it. Now my reviews aren't all 'blah blah' boring anymore.

Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, Paperback, etc.
A: I prefer reading paperback and hardcover. I love the feeling of holding a book in my hands. I used to own a eReader, but my eyes are not the greatest for it anymore.

Q: What book do you think would make a great Halloween movie? Please explain in graphic detail of goriness…

A: Well, for children, I would have to say Scary School by Derek the Ghost because of all the monsters in it. I think it would rank up there with the "Halloween Town" Disney movies.

As for the older crowd, I would have to say Anna Dressed in Blood, because of the whole blood and ghost thing, that just would be awesome !

Q: BeefcakeandBabes Asks: I like unique names for characters and am looking forward to coming up with some when I start writing. What’s the most unique character name you’ve come across?

Well, I recently came across a few unique character names as I was browsing books at Goodreads. One of which is Aoife from The Nightmare Garden. When I saw her name, it caught me off-guard because I have never seen that name before, so naturally, I had a hard time pronouncing it. Another name I came across was Zardi from The Book of Wonders, that one wasn’t as hard to pronounce, haha. And lastly, but not least, another one that I recently came across is Vespa from The Unnaturalists, I have heard the name before and have always liked it.

Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?
I try to avoid most heavy romance books, historical and non-fiction. I used to read the heavy romance novels but after I got pregnant 3 years ago, I stopped reading them. I have a hard time getting into them now. The historical and non-fiction books just never really caught my attention and I have a hard time getting into those as well.

Q: Many readers/bloggers are also big music fans. Tell us about a few of your favorite bands/singers that we should listen to in 2012.

A: I love all different types of music honestly. Here are some of them that I love in no particular order:

And there is quite a few others, but the list would be too long to put on here, haha.

Q: The New Year is here — and everyone wants to know your New Years Blogging Resolution! What are you going to try to revise, revamp and redo for 2012 on your blog?

A: This year, since my blog is still fairly new, I'm going to try to do more challenges, add more book reviews and do more giveaways. I'm going to try to personalize it more without getting too personal about myself, lol.

Q:  If you had to spend eternity inside the pages of a book which book would you choose and why?

A: This is an extremely hard question for me to answer. I could give you a list. But I will just narrow it down to a few.

1. The Iron Fey series simply because the Never Never is always changing, you learn something new all the time, I don't like the same thing all the time.

2. Harry Potter; because it's always cool to be magical. I would love to be a witch, I could cast some mean spells on some people, haha.

3. The Mortal Instruments; I just like the aspect of different cultures, so to speak, living amongst each other, and the possibility of whooping someone butt if need be.

Q: When you’ve read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

A: It really depends, if I really like the book, I will keep it. If it was an alright book, or I liked it, I will do a giveaway. If I didn't care for it, I will donate it to my public library. I have sold some books on Ebay, quite a few actually, just to make ends meet. I really try to not get rid of anything though.

Q: Keeping with the Spirit of Giving this season, what book do you think EVERYONE should read and if you could, you would buy it for all of your family and friends?

A: There are so many books that I could recommend, but I'm going to go with one that I read recently. I recently had the pleasure of reading Jolene Perry's The Next Door Boys, that book was simply amazing. Yes, it is a christian/mormon book. But you, know, it's really not that bad, for all of you out there that don't like those types of books. This book shows how one girl can be so strong after and during her fight with cancer.

Another good book I read is Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts. Not much like the movie. I have recommended this book many times and I have read this book numerous times.

What books would do you think everyone should read?

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don’t like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

A: My biggest pet peeve, hmmm, this is a hard one, I actually have a couple.

1. I don't like typos or errors. I once read a book where the whole sentence structure was way off, it just didn't make sense how they worded everything. I had to read and reread it like 6 times before I could even piece together what the writer was getting at. Horrible.

2. I don't like excessive cursing. If you just throw it in casually, that's fine, but if every other word is f-this and f-that, then I won't read it and I will walk away. A book just isn't enjoyable if I have to go through that, I can't even stand it out in public.

3. I don't like whiny main characters. I don't want to hear them complain all the time, I hear enough of that at home, LoL.

4. Last, but not least, I don't like it when the writer takes forever to get to the point in a book or goes into way too much detail about one item in a book.

I know that I'm a picky person when I read, but hey, that's just who I am. LoL.

A: Q1: What I am thankful for, blogging related, is the help that I received from What's Beyond Forks, whether she knows it or not, she did help me when I started blogging, so thank you! Q: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran’s Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.

A: This is a tough one, LOL. I've had so many friends and family in the service that don't serve anymore. But they all did their part to make the world a little bit of a better place. I honor them and the ones over there now doing their duty for us and sacrificing so much for us over the holidays and everyday of the year.
