What Are You Reading Thursdays

What Are You Reading Thursdays is a new feature I’m starting to discuss what we are reading that week. Each week we will feature the book we are reading and talk about it, tell what we like about it, what we don’t like about it and discuss what it’s about. Feel free to follow along with us and share in the comments what you are reading this week or post on your blog as well.

This week my book is: Hereafter by Tara Hudson

What I like:
I like that the story is different from almost every other ghost type book that I have read. It’s not your traditional haunt type of thing.

What I don’t like:
So far there really isn’t anything that I don’t enjoy about this book. I’m having a hard time putting it down so far.

The Cover:
I love the colors of the cover. The way the blues and greens come together around a girl that isn’t quite there.

What it's About:
Drifting in the dark waters of a mysterious river, the only thing Amelia knows for sure is that she's dead. With no recollection of her past life—or her actual death—she's trapped alone in a nightmarish existence. All of this changes when she tries to rescue a boy, Joshua, from drowning in her river. As a ghost, she can do nothing but will him to live. Yet in an unforgettable moment of connection, she helps him survive.

This sounds like an interesting read. This week I'm reading Beautiful People by Wendy Holden and Before Versaille by Karleen Koen. I really want to dig into Before Versaille, because I loooove French history and it's been a while since reading historical fiction. But Beautiful People is a library book, and it's a 600-pager, so it takes priority. And I am not reading as much as I would like because I'm moving at the end of the month, so that is keeping me busier than I'd like.

Enjoy your book!
