When Miki Jones is pulled from her life, pulled through time and space into some kind of game—her carefully controlled life spirals into chaos. In the game, she and a team of other teens are sent on missions to eliminate the Drau, terrifying and beautiful alien creatures. There are no practice runs, no training, and no way out. Miki has only the guidance of secretive but maddeningly attractive team leader Jackson Tate, who says the game isn’t really a game, that what Miki and her new teammates do now determines their survival, and the survival of every other person on this planet. She laughs. He doesn’t. And then the game takes a deadly and terrifying turn.

I first started reading this because of the cover and all the people raving about it. I loved the colors and I though that this was going to be just a futuristic type dystopian novel, but I was wrong. This one had me pulled in from the beginning.

Miki isn't a normal teenage girl, she, with the help of 4 other people on her team, (and countless other teams) helps to keep earth alien free. The Drau are cloning and harvesting humans to eventually take over planet earth and it's up to Miki and her new friends to stop them. This was the beginning of Miki's battle with the Drau and discovering the answers to the countless questions she has about the team and the purpose of them and their missions. She meets some great people, one of whom she has known for a while.

The ending of this book definitely keeps it opened up for the sequel, Push, and I hope that it picks up where this one left off without leaving the reader hanging. We will soon find out as that is the next book I will be reading.
