What Are You Reading Thursdays [3]

What Are You Reading Thursdays is a new feature I’m starting to discuss what we are reading that week. Each week we will feature the book we are reading and talk about it, tell what we like about it, what we don’t like about it and discuss what it’s about. Feel free to follow along with us and share in the comments what you are reading this week or post on your blog as well.

This week my book is:
Welcome Caller, My Name Is Chloe by Shelley Coriell

What I like:
I like the story. All books need to have a really great story, and so far, this one delivers quite well.

What I don’t like:
Not much I don’t like about it right now, I mean, it has some really snobby characters, but what good book doesn’t to have a good twist?

The Cover:
I love all the bright colors of the cover. That is what stands out the most. I also think the model on the cover is very pretty and I love her red hair!

What it's About:
Big-hearted Chloe Camden is the queen of her universe until her best friend shreds her reputation and her school counselor axes her junior independent study project. Chloe is forced to take on a meaningful project in order to pass, and so she joins her school's struggling radio station, where the other students don't find her too queenly. Ostracized by her former BFs and struggling with her beloved Grams's mental deterioration, lonely Chloe ends up hosting a call-in show that gets the station much-needed publicity and, in the end, trouble. She also befriends radio techie and loner Duncan Moore, a quiet soul with a romantic heart. On and off the air, Chloe faces her loneliness and helps others find the fun and joy in everyday life. Readers will fall in love with Chloe as she falls in love with the radio station and the misfits who call it home.

I'm reading Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. Sarah can really tell a story. I'm two-thirds of the way thru and am really enjoying it.
